2009 State of Metropolitan Housing Reportby MHC LOUISVILLE KY, October 28, 2009 - On our 20th anniversary, MHC is releaseing our seventh State of Metropolitan Housing Report, an ongoing report card of the fair and affordable housing challenges and successes in the Louisville MSA. Instead of a choosing a specific focus topic, we have expanded each measure to examine the way each are connected to build the state of housing. "Today, 8,626 households rely on Section 8 vouchers from the Louisville Metro Housing Authority. However, over 12,000 households--nearly 30,000 qualified individuals and children--languish for their chance to get a Section 8 voucher and a stable home." |
