2026 MHC Annual Meeting Dinner

2026 MHC Annual Meeting Dinner

The Metropolitan Housing Coalition’s 2026 Annual Meeting Dinner was a huge success, bringing together housing advocates, coalition members, nonprofit developers, and community members seeking to advance access to advance access to fair, accessible, and affordable housing throughout Louisville and the greater Commonwealth. The event features keynote speaker Brian Goldstone, Pulitzer Prize winning author of There is No Place for Us: Working and Homeless in America. Goldstone used the voices of five families living in Atlanta, Georgia, to explore barriers to housing stability and the often unseen and uncounted homeless individuals in our communities. He calls for a multilayered policy approach and argued that we have the resources, but we need to find the will as a society to meet this intentionally created “crisis of unprecedented proportions”.

One guest proudly proclaimed that “the event was one of the best ever due to the quality of the presentation by Brian Goldstone, Mayor Greenberg’s comments, and the thoughtful interview/Q&A conducted by Tony.” Attendees also had the opportunity to bid on 40+ unique silent auction items, participate in our bourbon pull, and enjoy great catering from the Mayan Cafe.

MHC staff is incredibly grateful for each of our sponsors, volunteers, board members, coalition members, and silent auction donors who all helped make this event possible. We thank you each for your continued commitment to advancing fair, accessible, and affordable housing for all Louisville residents. Your support allows our team to continue producing timely research, engaging our community on water and utility affordability, and advocating for policies that strengthen our housing landscape.

What’s up next for MHC? Stay tuned for our 2026 State of Metropolitan Housing Report being released this December. We can’t wait to see you there!
