Maria joined MHC in August 2021 and will be a part of the team for a one-year service term as an AmeriCorps VISTA. Prior to her VISTA term, Maria served with the AmeriCorps NCCC program in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. Maria graduated with a Bachelors in Geology from Brown University with a focus on environmental education.
Born and raised in Louisville, Maria is excited to give back to her community and be an advocate for fair and accessible housing. She has interests in social justice, climate justice, and becoming a science teacher. In her free time, Maria practices and coaches gymnastics, spends time with family, and takes care of her two new kittens.
