Sarah Pierce joined the Metropolitan Housing Coalition (MHC) in 2024 as their Housing and Energy Affordability Program Coordinator. Through the EveryHome program, Sarah provides education and advocacy around energy affordability and how it relates to housing affordability. Sarah was promoted to Assistant Director in September of 2026. 

Prior to joining MHC, Sarah worked in the environmental education and environmental engineering field in the Louisville, KY area. She holds a Masters of Science in Sustainability from the University of Louisville and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Natural Resources, with a minor in Sustainability and Environmental Studies, from Berea College.

Sarah moved to Louisville in 2019 and has been actively involved in her local community. She was recently recognized as a Louisville Business First’s 40 Under Forty honoree for her work on the EveryHome program. She is passionate about resilient communities and equity, and is eager to connect with local community members and organizations. Sarah, her husband, their son, and their two cats reside in the Graymoor-Devondale neighborhood.
